Obituary for Dominic A. Talerico

Dominic A. Talerico, 93, of Bridgeport, passed away Monday evening, October 29, 2018, at his residence. He was born in Stonewood on September 6, 1925, a son of the late Anthony and Elizabeth Puia Talerico.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Mary Alonso Talerico, whom he married in June 1953.

He is also survived by Mary’s sister, Patricia Alonso, his very special sister-in-law, that he dearly loved. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was the last surviving member of his immediate family, having been preceded in death by a brother, Frank Talerico; and nine sisters, Jo Ann Holub, Rose Clevenger Spencer, Mary Grace Messina, Florence Ashcraft, Virginia Green, Gloria Dutchess, Angeline Peterson, Ann “Bebe” Tyler, and Theresa Voor.

Dominic was a graduate of R-W High School. He was retired from PPG, and after retirement he was self employed in real estate sales. He had attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Stonewood.

Friends may call at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Thursday from 2-4 & 6 – 8 p.m., where Catholic Burial Rites will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 2, 2018 with Father D. Kent Durig presiding. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
