Obituary for Kristin Leigh Trippett

On Tuesday, June 19, 2018, we lost our beloved daughter, mother and friend. Kristin Leigh Trippett, 37, passed away on this date at her residence in Bridgeport. She was born in Clarksburg on October 28, 1980, the only daughter of James F. and Lynda K. Nuzum Trippett, who survive in Bridgeport.
In addition to her parents, Kristin will be sadly missed by her two beautiful daughters, Jameson Kae Trippett and Kassidy Jean Stump and her fiancé David A. Stump. She is also survived by her brothers, J. Tyler Trippett and wife, Leigha; Kevin Trippett and wife Jennifer, all of Bridgeport, and Keith Trippett, Salem, WV. Also surviving are Kristin’s aunt Pamela Piatt and husband Gale; uncles Robert Nuzum and Robert Trippett and wife, Pamela , and Roger Ross and his wife Paulette, all of Bridgeport , and her fiancé David’s parents, David and Betty Stump of Jane Lew.
Also surviving are nephews, Anthony James Trippett (AJ) and David S. Trippett; nieces, Martina Trippett, Shaina Trippett and Kalee Trippett Hoskinson, and husband, Logan, and their son, Beckham. Also , cousins, Craig Trippett, Shane Piatt, Ashley Piatt Mitchell and husband , Mickey and daughter, Kinley ; also cousins, Mark, Steve and Kathy Trippett, David and Susan Ross, and Leah Trippett.
Kristin was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Walton and Jean Nuzum; paternal grandparents, Howard and Dorothy Trippett; aunts Peggy Lake Nuzum, Gerry Trippett Ross and Sylvia Trippett; uncle, Donald Trippett and cousin, Gregory Ross.
Kristin was an honor student at Bridgeport High School where she graduated in 1998; she completed her education at WVU and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and Political Science. She was last employed at Cybertel Communications in Clarksburg. Kristin was a lifetime member of Simpson Creek Baptist Church.
Kristin’s daughters were the light of her life and she was a proud and loving mother. She loved attending their dance classes, dance recitals and school activities. Kristin was an avid reader and taught her children to read and love books. She was always concerned about those less fortunate and was quick to speak up for anyone treated unfairly, whether it be a person or animal. She will also be missed by her rescue cats, Lucille and Tommy. Her family will certainly miss her funny sense of humor and her concern for others.

Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, on Sunday from 4 – 8 p.m., where services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 25, 2018, with Dr. C. Michael Hopkins presiding. Interment will follow in Smith Cemetery, Meadowbrook Road.
