Obituary for Shari "Sissy" Nease (Woodson)

Shari Lynne “Sissy” Woodson Nease, 52, of Anmoore, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday morning, December 18, 2017, in Romney under the care of her brother Tim Woodson and family. She was born on August 1, 1965 in Clarksburg, a daughter of Wanita Sprout Woodson, who survives in Anmoore, and the late David Lee Woodson.

In addition to her mother, she is also survived by her three brothers, Timothy Woodson and his wife Christine, Romney, WV, Claude E. Woodson and his wife Debbie, Belton, SC and Charles E. Woodson of Anmoore. Many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins complete her family.

Shari was a 1984 graduate of Bridgeport High School and she was employed by Ponderosa as a cook after high school and also was employed by Arby’s. She enjoyed crafts, sewing and working crossword puzzles but especially spending time with her nieces and nephews. She also taught Sunday School along with her mother and was involved with the Christian Women’s and Ladies Auxiliary at Church of God Liberty Addition.

Family and friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, where services will be on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 11:00 am with Bishop Cecil Welch presiding. Interment will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Quiet Dell.
