Obituary for Mary Louise McFarland

Mary Louise Skidmore McFarland, 88, of Stonewood, passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, October 24, 2017, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Clarksburg on May 17, 1929, a daughter of the late Charles and Lucille (McGuire) Skidmore of Bridgeport.
On April 15, 1949 she married John David McFarland.
She is survived by her three children, David McFarland of Anmoore; Patty McFarland Nicholson of Leavenworth, KS; and Richard McFarland of Chesapeake, OH; her brother Tom Skidmore, Bridgeport; and sister, Margaret Skidmore Hundley, Bridgeport. She has eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Robert Blaine Skidmore, Sr.
She graduated from Bridgeport High School in 1947.
Memorial contributions in Mary’s memory may be made to Peoples Hospice, 327 Medical Park Drive, Bridgeport, WV 26330.
A graveside service will be held at Bridgeport Cemetery on November 3, 2017 at 10:00 am with Father Hilarion V. Cann presiding.
