Obituary for Gwendolyn Amber "Wendy" Lister

Gwendolyn “Wendy” Lister, 52, of Bridgeport, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday evening, October 7, 2017, in Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born in Tawas City, MI, on October 10, 1964, the only child of the late Harry Nehrig, Jr. and the late Phyllis Redding Nehrig.
She is survived by her son JD Lister and his wife Abigail of Bridgeport; and close friend of 30 years, Kristi Giganti; and close friend Calera Jones.
Wendy was a graduate of Bridgeport High School, Class of 1983. She had worked at JCPenney as a sales supervisor with over 20 years of service. She enjoyed going to concerts, gardening, and cooking, especially during the holidays with her family. She loved spending time with, JD, Abigail and her close friends. She especially enjoyed her faithful sheepadoodle companion, Baloo.
She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Wendy was full of life and wanted to give life after her work on this earth was done. Through CORE and organ donation, she will be able to save and enrich several other lives.

Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Friday, October 13, 2017, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., where services will be held at 1 p.m. with Pastor Robin Ray presiding. Interment will follow in Bridgeport Cemetery.
