Carolyn Sue Stire, 76, of Quiet Dell Community, Mt. Clare, passed away Monday afternoon, October 9, 2017, in Rosewood Center in Grafton. She was born in Shinnston on November 22, 1940, the daughter of the late Clarence and Betty Cohen.
On February 4, 1956, she married Ronald L. Stire, who preceded her in death on April 20, 2003.
She is survived by two sons, Ronnie Stire and his wife Kathy of South Carolina; Troy Stire and his wife Debra of Quiet Dell; four grandsons, Zachary Stire of Nutter Fort; Tommy Stire of South Carolina; Dean Stire and Ethan Stire of Quiet Dell; one step-grandson, Anthony Veltri of Nevada; and two great-grandchildren, Bailey Stire and Kendall Stire of Stonewood.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother James Cohen and great-granddaughter Rebecca L. Stire.
Carolyn was an avid Steelers and Pirates Fan as well as attending and following her grandchildren’s sporting events and activities.
The family would like to acknowledge the exceptional care and compassion that she received from the staff at Rosewood Center in Grafton.

It was her request to be cremated and no public services will be held.
