Obituary for Barbara Jean Jones (Bell)

Barbara Jean Bell Jones, 77, of Bridgeport passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2017 in Bridgeport. She was born on February 20, 1940 in Flemington, a daughter of the late John Alexander Bell and Pauline Hamilton Bell.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, John Jones of Bridgeport.
She is also survived by one grandson, Anthony James Jones of Bridgeport; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, James Gregory Jones and her brothers and sisters, Patricia Pendergast, Carol Roberts, John Bell and Mark Bell. She was the last surviving child in her family.
She was a graduate of Flemington High School and then she married the love of her life and together they raised a wonderful family. After retirement, they moved to Florida where she enjoyed selling Real Estate with John. She enjoyed collecting knick knacks, sewing and gardening. She also enjoyed entertaining and having people at their home. She also loved her cat, JC.
Family and friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue on Friday, July 28, 2017 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, where funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm with Reverend Phillip Gross presiding. Interment will be in Trinity Cemetery, Brush Fork.
