Obituary for Virginia "Jenny" Gregory (Queen)

After bravely fighting cancer for 3 years, Virginia “Jenny” Gregory, 65, of Madison, Ohio, peacefully passed away, Sunday, July 9, 2017, holding the hand of her doting husband, with her devoted daughter by her side. She was welcomed into Heaven by her late father and mother, Lester Burl Queen and Ruby Chloe Fortney Queen, and many friends and family members.
She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, William L. “Larry” Gregory, whom she married June 18, 1981. She also is survived by her devoted daughter, Courtney Gregory, and boyfriend Dan Armstrong of Madison, Oh; and her brother, Leslie Queen, of Clarksburg.
Jenny was a graduate of R-W High School and went on to become a licensed beautician working at JCPenny for many years. Later, she also worked as the secretary and bookkeeper at Tri-State Torch & Welding. After spending most of her life in North View and Clarksburg, Jenny and Larry recently relocated to Madison, Ohio, to be closer to their daughter, where she spent time enjoying the lake and reconnecting with friends and family in the area.
Anyone who ever met Jenny was a friend. Her infectious smile and laugh will forever be remembered by many. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, crafting and doing projects around the house. She was a member of the Summit Park Baptist Church.
The family wishes to thank the Hospice of the Western Reserve – Mentor Home Care Team for their kindness and support. We are humbled by the care and compassion shown to us by all. A special thanks to Lisa Rach and Kelly Whited for going above and beyond.
In lieu of flowers please make contributions to Hospice – Mentor Home Care Team in memory of Virginia “Jenny” Gregory at 17876 St Claire Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110.
