Obituary for Paul B. "Butch" Teter

Paul B. Teter (Butch), age 76 of Elyria passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017 following a sudden illness. He was born August 25, 1940 in West Virginia, but has resided in Elyria for over 50 years.
Butch was a member of the Elyria Baptist Church. He was a hard working truck driver for over fifty years. His focus in life was his family. He was the glue that held the family together and would do anything for anyone. He especially loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren. In his free time he enjoyed feeding his stray cats, and tree rats.
He is survived by his children Randy (Beverly) Teter of Oberlin, William (Shaila) Teter of S. Amherst, Peggy Teter of Oberlin, and Lil Randy Teter of Wellington; brother Roy Teter and sister Bonnie Childers; along with several grandchildren, great grandchildren and many others who he loved and treated as his own.
He was preceded in death by his wife Georgetta “Joey” (nee Johnson); three children, Christopher Teter, Darlene Teter, and Deborah Teter, brothers Burley, Andy, Ralph, Bill, Jim, Bob, and John Jr; three sisters June, Naomi and Janet, and by his parents John and Susie Bell Teter (nee Long).

Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. on Monday, May 8, 2017. Interment will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Anmoore.
