Obituary for Carrie Agnes Ashcraft (Crowe)

Carrie Agnes Ashcraft, 95, of Mannington, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2017 in Clarksburg. She was born August 19, 1921 in Webster Springs, WV, a daughter of the late Cecil Edward Crowe and Goldie Life Crowe.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Glenn Ashcraft who passed away on December 27, 1993.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Ashcraft and his wife Linda of Wyatt and Bill and his wife Carolyn also of Wyatt; one step-grandson, Michael Linn Holden; two step great grandsons, Benjamin Michael and Kenneth Charles; one brother, John Stanley Crowe and his wife Joanna of SC; one sister, Norma Louise Duncan and her husband Pete of Point Pleasant; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents she was also preceded in death by one sister, Virginia Grace Crowe Davis; and three brothers, Kenneth Ray Crowe, Verlin Edward Crowe and Willard Stanton Crowe.
Carrie attended school in Webster County and High School in Weston. She was Methodist by faith and she was a homemaker and farmer who lived in the Wyatt Community since 1939. She also enjoyed playing bingo.
Family and friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport on Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 2-8 pm. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, May 1, 2017 at 11:00 am with Reverend Ron Johnson presiding. Interment will be in the Wyatt IOOF Cemetery, Wyatt.
