Obituary for Dorothy Jean "Dottie" Philippart

Dorothy J. “Dottie” Nestor Philippart, 81, of Clarksburg, passed away Friday morning, February 3, 2017, in Salem. She was born in Clarksburg on June 14, 1935, a daughter of the late Fay Bronson and Ila Lavada (Keiser) Nestor.
On December 15, 1956, she married Richard Philippart, who preceded her in death on August 28, 2000.
She is survived by a brother, Lloyd Nestor and his wife Karen; her nephews, William Nestor and his wife Jennifer, and Michael Nestor and her great nephew Reese Nestor; two nieces, Madison and Morgan Walls.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joe B. Nestor.
Dottie was a 1954 graduate of Victory High School and she enjoyed working in her yard and taking care of her horses.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Forward in Faith Campaign, 150 S. Maple Avenue, Clarksburg, WV 26301
Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Sunday, February 5, 2017 from 1-5 pm. Catholic Burial Rites will be held on Monday, February 6, 2017 at 10:00 am with Father Casey Mahone presiding. Interment will be in Greenlawn Masonic Cemetery, Clarksburg.
