Obituary for Lilma Faye ""Lima Bean"" Cole

Lilma Faye Cole, 75, of Clarksburg, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2016, in Meadowview Manor with her loving daughters by her side. She was born in Clarksburg on November 27, 1940, a daughter of the late Jessie L. and Floda D. (Kelly) Cole.
She is survived by her companion of over 22 years, Lawrence D. “Ozzie” Douglas.
She is survived by two daughters, Annette Shaw and her husband Owen Lynn, Nutter Fort; and Rachel Gallo and her husband Steve, Rosemont; 6 grandchildren, Lindsay Anne Schorr and her fiancée Andrew Skidmore, Joseph Gallo, Matthew Gallo, Luke Gallo; Brian Poindexter and his wife Nikkie and Joshua Perine; one great grandson Brian “Little Man” Poindexter; two brothers, Dorsey W. Cole, Anmoore, and Daniel R. Cole, Clarksburg; two sisters, Barbara Jean Cole, Ohio; and her twin sister Wilma May Cole, Salem; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Curtis Poindexter, Jr.; a sister, Betty Cole; and three brothers, Denver Cole, James "Bernie" Cole and Roger L. Cole.
Lilma was a homemaker and she volunteered at United Hospital Center for many years. She loved to sing, dance and play bingo. She was also active in many churches and loved her family.
The family would like to thank Meadowview Manor for the loving care they provided and the fellowship of the staff and residents.

Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Sunday from 2 – 6 pm, where services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 31, 2016, with Reverend Patty Post presiding. Interment will follow in Stonewall Park Cemetery, Stonewood.
