Charles "Bud"  Grose
Charles “Bud” Grose, 79, of Mount Clare, passed away on Sunday morning, October 16, 2016 at his home. He was born April 1, 1937 in Buckhannon, a son of the late Clyde Ballard Grose and Laura Freda Tenney Grose.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Virginia Sue McFarlane Pittman Grose, whom he married on August 5, 1972.
In addition to his wife he is also survived by his son Richard W. “Bill” Pittman and his wife Wendy of Nutter Fort; his grandchildren, Lesa A. Richards and her husband Ryan of Clarksburg, Tori Lee Pittman and her fiancée David Humbertson of Philippi; great grandchildren, Esaias McFarlane Rydell Richards, Zoey Ann Ryah Richards, and Anabel Virginia Rylee Richards; Brother, Robert Clyde Grose and his wife Carol of Buckhannon; brother-in-law Thomas Ireland also of Buckhannon; nieces and nephews, Shawn Ireland of Nutter Fort, Patti Reese of Georgia, Kelli Ireland of Fairmont, Melissa Stone of South Carolina, Robert Grose, II of Buckhannon, Kimberly Dawn Seebach of Ohio and Troy McFarlane of Ohio.
He was also preceded in death by one great grandson, Jon William Ryker Richards; sister, Betty Jean Ireland and a niece Mary Ann Ireland.
Bud was employed as an Electrician with BEE Electric in Morgantown until his retirement in 2009. He was also a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Stonewood. He enjoyed antique trains and spending time with his dog “Stewie.”

Family and friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Church of the Nazarene, 9254 Cost Avenue, Stonewood at 11:00 am with Reverend Richard Settles presiding. Mr. Grose will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
