Obituary for Martha Jean Lynch (Snyder)

Marth Jean Lynch, 95, of Clarksburg, passed away Tuesday, April 05, 2016, in Serenity Hope. She was born December 22, 1920 in Clarksburg, a daughter of the late William B. and Catherine (Cornwell) Snyder.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Glen Dale Lynch, in 1986.
She is survived by her three children, Jimmy Lynch and his wife Judy; Jerry Lynch, Bridgeport; Cathy Bell; Clarksburg; a daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Lynch; six grandchildren, Ellisa (Alvin) Lugo, Hernando, FL; Lori (James) Fontanez, Lumberport; Kerri Hoffman, Nags Head, NC; Dawn (Scott) Cummings, Providence, RI; Donna (Todd) Smith, Clarksburg; and Robert (Kim) Lynch, Bridgeport; 10 great-grandchildren, Jake, Stephanie, Kayla, Stacie, Kelly, Paul Robert, Eric, Kaylissa, Megan, and Nick. Seven great-great-grandchildren, Alexis, Aliya, Addison, Olivia, Gaige, Kylie, and Molly Jean; a brother, William Snyder and his wife Sally, St. Petersburg, FL; and a sister, Patricia Campbell and her husband Jay, Lexington, SC; and several nieces and nephews complete her family.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three children, Ronald Dale Lynch; Cheryl Jo Lynch and Paul Robert Lynch; a grandson, Jason Bell; a son-in-law, Troy Bell; a daughter-in-law, Cookie Lynch; and five sisters, Phyliss, Ernestine, Juanita, Gay, and Betty.
Jean had worked various places, including Parson-Souders and Hills, and retired in 1990 from United Hospital Center as a pharmacist aide. She was a 50 year member of Clarksburg Baptist Church and enjoyed attending the Harrison County Senior Center. She enjoyed volunteering at the Food Pantry affiliated with the Clarksburg Baptist Church and Meals on Wheels.
Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2016, where services will be held at 1 p.m. with Pastor Rita Robinson presiding. Cremation services will follow and she will be interred in Greenlawn Masonic Cemetery.
