Mildred Poling, 85, of West Union, passed away Friday afternoon, June 12, 2015, following an extended illness. She was born in Ridgedale, Monongalia County, on May 26, 1930, a daughter of the late Benjamin David Hartley and Daisy Regar Hartley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul M. Poling.
She is survived by two sons, Sam Hartley and his wife Jean, West Union; and Danny Poling and his wife Nancy, Grafton; a stepdaughter, Linda Poling Kelly, Florida; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Mary, Virginia, Dorothy, and Ella.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Olita Hartley, and four brothers, Roy J., Milton, Willis and Andrew Hartley.
Mildred was a homemaker and enjoyed embroidery. She was Baptist.
Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Sunday from 2 – 8 p.m., where services will be held on Monday at 12 Noon with Pastor Chuck Madaus presiding. Interment will follow in Bridgeport Cemetery.
