Emma Mae  Flanigan
Emma Flanigan, 62, of Clarksburg passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at her residence. She was born August 16, 1952 in Sardis a daughter of the late John Curtis Flanigan and Mary Elizabeth Short Flanigan.
She is survived by two children, John Frye and his wife Robin of Mount Clare and Rayetta Riddle and her husband James of Clarksburg; 9 grandchildren, James Riddle II and his fiancée Megan Genteel, Billy Frye, John Michael Frye, Eric Riddle, Aaron Frye and his fiancée Stephanie Carder, Arnett Posey who resided with Emma, Mary Riddle, Michelle Frye and her fiancé Zane Compton and Jennifer Frye; 7 great grandchildren, Jayden (Little Dare Devil) Genteel, Gavin (Lover Boy) Frye, Anthony (Little Man) Riddle, McKinley (Little Angel) Dodd, Tanga (Bundle of Joy) Frye, Jaxon (Shining Star) Riddle and Damion Frye.; seven brothers, Jim Flanigan of Sardis, Lester, Bob and Johnnie Flanigan all of Rogersville, PA, Charles and Randall Flanigan of Clarksburg and Paul Flanigan of Mount Morris, PA; 3 sisters, Jean Shumaker of Rogersville, PA and Lucy Flanigan and Lexi Wright of Clarksburg.
She was preceded in death by one brother Billy Flanigan.
Emma worked for a short period of time At Meadow View Manor in house cleaning. Her greatest joy was her family and she loved to watch her grandchildren and great grandchildren play outside. She also loved her dog, Susie and she enjoyed playing on the computer. She had a special friend and caretaker, Gloria Sandy.
Family and friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday at 11:00 am. Interment will be in Stonewall Park Cemetery, Stonewood.
