Obituary for Carson "Joe" Utt

Carson “Joe” Utt, 58, of Clarksburg, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2012, in the United Hospital Center. He was born in Buckhannon on September 25, 1953, a son of the late Carson Utt and Veva (Arms) Utt Poling. Surviving are two sisters, Sharon Douglas and her husband Alan “Todd”, Bridgeport; and Deanna Palmer and her husband John, Lost Creek; a nephew, Douglas Whyte, Jr., Flemington; a niece, Kelsey Palmer, Lost Creek; and a great-niece, Seneca Whyte. Joe had previously worked for many years as a truck driver for Dennison Dairy, and also Country Roads Dairy. He was most recently employed by the Harrison County Solid Waste Authority. He attended Flaming Sword Apostolic Faith Church, East View. He was an avid coin collector and member of the American Numismatic Association, and was the Secretary for the Stonewall Jackson Coin Club. He was a Mountaineer and Steeler fan, and an enthusiastic March Madness follower. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, from 6 – 8 p.m. on Monday, where services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday morning, July 3, 2012, with Pastor Randy Smith presiding.
